The Details: 

Firstly, what is 'Call of Cthulhu'?

It is a horror/mystery table top role playing game, taking H.P Lovecraft's works as inspiriation. Amongst your classic monsters, such as zombies and ghouls, you may encounter Serpent People, Elder Gods and Liquid Lightning creatures. These zaney but deadly creatures are a part of universe that we live in, hidden in the everyday or summoned into our world. All the while, you play as an average curious human, trying to not only to keep yourself alive, but also sane! Your goals are to investigate what is going bump in the night and also, to stop it.

Who is this event for?

For seasoned and novice players. As long as you have interest in cosmic horror and TTRPG's then you are very welcome. There will be at least 1 table hosted by Pause Menu's resident Game Master, Sasa, for beginners who will run through the rule basics before the story starts. For the rest of the tables, the experience levels will be determined by the Keeper (AKA the Game Master) of the table. 

The stories will also be handpicked by the Keeper, and therefore span the entirety of the Chaosium official works as well as the Miskatonic Repository. From the classic 1920's, to (the even more limited technology) of Regency era (1800's) to modern times. There may even be some Melbourne works presented!

Pause Menu is hosting 2 sessions of up to 6 tables of 5 players. The first session commencing at 1pm, the second at 6pm.

Tables and their stories will be announced from the beginning of May.  Player registration will be available from the 8th of May. 

The price of attending this event is $15 and comes with a free drink*. Keepers enter free!
